The Stretchy Boy/Girl

Prerequisites & Recommendations

Race: Half-Bugbear-Half-Plasmoid (Unearthed Arcana 80 – Travelers of the Multiverse + Homebrew: An Elf and an Orc Had a Little Baby)
Class: Level 3 Way of the Astral Self Monk (Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything) & Level 1 Storm Sorcery Sorcerer (Xanathar’s Guide to Everything)
Background: Folk Hero (Player’s Handbook)
Flavor: You are one of the most famous stretchy superheroes in fiction, you are the one that can fit in almost any space, can stretch into a parachute or a boat and still look sexy doing it. You are Elastigirl, or Helen Parr (or Mr. Fantastic AKA Reed Richards, or Jake the Dog, or Ms. Marvel AKA Kamala Khan, or some other stretcher). Don’t freak out when you see the races I picked for this, you will still look like a human (if you want of course, everything is possible, D&D is game that takes place in the imagination).

Racial Abilities

The Plasmoid is technically not in the homebrew, seeing as it is still Unearthed Arcana, this is more an estimation of what I think the Plasmoid would be if it was in An Elf and an Orc Had a Little Baby.

Age. Your life expectancy is around 90 years.
Size. You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you gain this race.
Long-Limbed (Bugbear Birth Parent). When you make a melee attack on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.
Powerful Build (Bugbear Birth Parent). You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
Amorphous (Plasmoid Birth Parent). You can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide, provided you are wearing and carrying nothing. You also have advantage on ability checks you make to initiate or escape a grapple.
Ability Score Increase (Any Upbringing). Increase one ability score by 2, and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1.
Languages (Any Upbringing). You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language that you and your DM agree is appropriate for the character.

Combat Skills

Not being a character from a game, Elastigirl does not have a strict set of skills, but what she can do is really divided into two parts: fighting and shapeshifting/elasticity. Let’s start with the easy part, the fighting, as a Monk of the Way of the Astral Self, you can empower yourself for 10 minutes using a bonus action and 1 ki point. During this time your reach is an additional 5 feet, it already was 10 feet because of you being a bugbear so during these 10 minutes you have a reach of 15 feet! Incredible!

Elastigirl’s elasticity is harder to recreate, but I have a list of stuff below and how it might look whilst playing this character. Feel free to come up with your own things when you level up even further. Oh, and don’t forget to change all the damage types to Bludgeoning damage if you deal damage, so as to stay on brand.

TURN INTO A PARACHUTE

Spell: Feather Fall (1st-level spell from the Sorcerer spell list)
Flavor: You turn into a parachute.

CATAPULT YOURSELF & AN ITEM SIMULTANEOUSLY

Spell: Catapult (1st-level spell from the Sorcerer spell list)
Feature: Tempestuous Magic (1st-level Storm Sorcery feature)
Flavor: You grab something and fling it at an enemy whilst slipping away yourself, avoiding opportunity attacks.

PULLING A CREATURE TOWARDS YOU

Spell: Lightning Lure (Cantrip from the Sorcerer spell list)
Flavor: You punch someone and pull them towards you.

SHOVE SOMEONE OR SOMETHING THAT IS FAR AWAY

Spell: Gust (Cantrip from the Sorcerer spell list)
Flavor: Just picture that the effect of this spell is caused by your spaghetti arms.

PICK SOMETHING UP OR MANIPULATE SOMETHING THAT’S FAR AWAY

Spell: Mage Hand (Cantrip from the Sorcerer spell list)
Flavor: Still a hand, just not a mage’s hand. Stretchy hand.

HIT EVERYONE AROUND YOU IN QUICK SUCCESSION

Spell: Sword Burst (Cantrip from the Sorcerer spell list)
Flavor: You hit everyone within 5 feet around you in quick succession.
